The clock struck midnight. No breathtaking evening gown glistening in sapphire satin morphed into ragged strips of fabric. No prince charming was dreaming of me in some far off tower. But the inevitable had occurred, and my minutes as a carefree teenager had come to an end.
So as the first seconds of my adult life started to sink in, I guess I felt slightly empty. I always thought that when I turned 20 I would hear a knock on the door and my handsome boyfriend would stand there with arms breaking at the weight of two dozen crimson blooms. (Sigh
