United Taco Bell Employees Strike for Better Benefits
The Coalition of Immokalee Workers will be rallying a 44-mile march from East Los Angeles to the Taco Bell headquarters in Irvine.
The march will go on for three days with tomato pickers protesting harsh working conditions imposed by Taco Bell.
Taco Bell, one of the biggest buyers of Florida tomatoes is accused by the Coalition of Imokalee Workers for not being allowed to organize unions as well as being ineligible for receiving overtime pay, health insurance, sick leave or any other benefits.
The workers will also stop at Taco Bell’s parent company Yum! Brands in Louisville, KY.

‘Super Tuesday’ Voters to Decide on Ballot Measures
Voters will line up at polling places nationwide this ‘Super Tuesday’ to vote in the California primary elections.
Voters will be able to vote for their party’s presidential candidate, their state assemblyman as well as on four propositions.
Proposition 55 will grant a $12.3 billion bond for public school maintenance. Proposition 56 will raise the number of votes needed to appropriate budget-related bills.
Proposition 57 will grant the state a one-time $15 billion bond to retire the deficit while Proposition 58 would change the state constitution so that a balanced budget must be passed each year.
