The UC Irvine Men’s Basketball team failed to qualify for the Big West Conference Tournament held at the Anaheim Convention Center, March 10 through 13.
Following a 59-56 loss to Utah State before a national television audience on Feb. 28, the Anteaters needed only one win to qualify for the conference tournament as they ventured off for a two-game road trip against UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
On the first game of the road-swing, UCI dropped a 56-55 decision to UCSB on March 4 and then proceeded to lose against CSLO 70-62 on March 6 in the eventual season finale game for the Anteaters.
