Regents Increase Fees for 2004 Summer Session
The UC Regents decision to raise fees for the 2004-05 academic year will affect students enrolled in UC summer courses as well.
According to the UCI summer session Web site, fees have been adjusted to reflect the budget established by the Regents on May 20.
The summer increase amounts to $15 more per unit for undergraduates and $29 more per unit for graduates.
Students who enrolled before May 25 now have an outstanding balance, which must be paid off before June 11 to hold their place in classes.
Schedule of Classes Now Only Available Online
Starting fall quarter 2004, the UCI schedule of classes will be available online only on WebSOC. The decision to cease distribution of the paper version of the schedule came in part from UCI’s budgetary restrictions.
UCI student affairs states that the online version will facilitate course registration in many ways. The online edition can be continuously updated. It can link students to course Web pages and also allow searches for classes to fulfill specific requirements.
Incoming freshmen will receive an abridged version of the schedule of classes during their summer advising session.
