London, Paris, Rome, Geneva, Prague and Barcelona. These are just a few of the top tourist destinations in Europe, where thousands of people from around the world will flock each summer. But why would you want to go there? It’s crowded, dirty, busy and expensive (if you want to a have a decent and comfortable stay, that is).
This is why many of the locals travel to the ‘non-tourist’ spots for their vacations. For the most part, these are places that are unknown to the regular tourist. The best part is that the majority of these places are within an hour from the popular cities, so the trip alone has a little adventure to offer a traveler.
