On May 18, 2004, Arizona Diamondbacks ace Randy Johnson, at the tender age of 40 years and seven months, pitched a perfect game against the Atlanta Braves. In the history of Major League Baseball, only 16 others before him have ever completed the task; for Johnson, 9 IP, 13K, 0BB, 0H, 0ER.
As the 27th out was recorded, Johnson’s catcher Robby Hammock jumped up and down in excitement; Hammock was a kid again
