Retiring State Senator Thanks Constituents

After serving 30 years as a California state assemblyman and eight years as a state senator, John Vasconcellos stopped at UC Irvine on Nov. 10 to thank Californians for giving him the opportunity to serve them.
Vasconcellos also shared his insight on the political process with students.
Vasconcellos is retiring from the State Legislature due to term limits set on elected officials. Vasconcellos is upset that he and others are forced to retire from the state government.
