Bentzer and W. Tennis Honored
Irvine, Calif. – April 26 – UC Irvine senior tennis star Anna Bentzer was named the Big West Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Bentzer received All-Big West first team honors in singles along with All-Big West second team honors in doubles with fellow freshman Anteater freshmen Inna Agababian. Junior Izabela Mijic was recognized in singles play as a All-Big West second team.
BW Honors Lamm and Teammates
Irvine, Calif. – April 26 – UC Irvine tennis freshman Victor Lamm was named Big West Freshman of the Year as well as All-Big West second team in singles. Seniors Brian Morton and Rye Kashiwabara received All-Big West first team honors in singles for their second consecutive year. Junior Peter Surapol was an All-Big West honorable mention in singles play and the doubles team of sophomore Mustafa Ulukan and junior Olof Sjolund received All-Big West honorable mention as well.
Sailing Places Fourth in TRPCC
Irvine, Calif. – April 30 – The UC Irvine Sailing team placed fourth at the Team Racing Pacific Coast Championships, 5-8.
Jablonsky Second Team All-MPSF
Irvine, Calif. – April 25 – Sophomore outside hitter in Men’s Volleyball Jayson Jablonsky was named All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation second team in Men’s Volleyball.
