Age Limit in Professional Sports

What do Kevin Garnett, Amare Stoudemire, Kobe Bryant, Eddie Curry, Tracy McGrady, Jermaine O’Neal and LeBron James all have in common?
All seven of these basketball players led their respected teams in scoring this season with four of their teams reaching the National Basketball Association’s second season: the playoffs.
However, and more significantly, these seven players each made the jump directly from high school to the pros. Yet, future players may not have the same opportunity to bypass the National Collegiate Athletic Association because of age-limit restrictions the NBA may impose. The NBA argues that these restrictions would raise the level of play for both the pro and college games, while also weeding out the kids who shouldn’t take such a risk.
