As UC Irvine enters its 40th year, Welcome Week bustled with activity thanks to the programming of incoming Associated Students University of California Irvine Student Services Vice President Nathan Lee and his ASUCI associates. A fifth-year sociology and international studies major, Lee says he has ‘grown to love everything about [ASUCI].’
Lee is responsible for programming events and activities to promote exciting student life at UCI. Last year, Lee served as the Festivals Commissioner and helped organize campuswide events such as Wayzgoose and Reggaefest.
According to the ASUCI website, Lee must also oversee Comedy Night/Day Programs, Film Nights, Spirit Events, and Homecoming.
His new office as student services vice president promises a new set of challenges and a stimulating daily routine.
‘The reason I love my job so much is because each day is different,’ Lee said. ‘My position in particular is interesting because it deals with both programming and politics.
