KUCI: Orange County’s Other Voice

‘All the things you can’t hear on normal radio are what you can hear on KUCI,’ explained Toby Solorzano one afternoon in the shade of the trailers behind UC Irvine’s Science Library. But on campus, one gets the impression that little is being heard of KUCI at all.
Solorzano, a fourth-year international studies major and KUCI disc jockey, picked up a flyer for the campus radio station on one of its few days tabling on Ring Road when he was just ‘an eager freshman,’ he explained.
