Recently, mass media has often used a disturbing phrase: ‘Islamic fundamentalism.’
Such word usage is lamentable because it sends an implicit message of Islam’s support for fundamentalism to millions of people every day, and can thus easily (re)generate animosities against Muslims.
But the problems don’t stop in the newsroom or on paper
