Welcome to the ’1337 Geek,’ the only column in the New University where the writer won’t profess to be an expert of any sort on relationships.
And I promise I’ll use this column as a personals ad just this once: 6-foot athletic Asian male. Enjoys science fiction, writing, politics and sports. Seeking sensitive college girl with a good sense of humor.
Unfortunately, as far as you know, I could just be another overweight ICS slob who plays ‘World of Warcraft’ all day.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is exactly what is wrong with the newspaper and online single’s ad: you don’t get a real sense for who the other party is.
