Oh, to be a struggling college student without the luxury of luxuries. What a pickle! It’s not easy to dutifully hit the books and go to work every day on a diet of frozen food, pizza or simple homemade concoctions.

Let us start at Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill. Formerly known as Thaifoon, Ling & Louie’s is beautifully decorated and dimly lit. The Asian-American fusion menu offers everything from noodle soup to pork ribs to sizzling duck. But what particularly lights my fire is their Easy Menu, served from 4 p.m. to closing at the bar or on the patio.
