The UC Irvine Women’s Basketball team needed stilts against the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos during their Jan. 9 game at the Bren Events Center. The Gauchos (7-7, 3-1 Big West) used their distinct size advantage to pound the Anteaters’ (2-12, 0-2) in the paint, winning the Big West Conference game 71-60.
The Gauchos started two players taller than the Anteater’s tallest starter, capitalizing on the advantage immediately. 6-foot-4-inch forward Jenna Green
