Measure S
YES
Fellow students, be assured. There is something worthwhile to support in this year’s election. Disregard those other referenda, but give your full support to Measure S, the shuttle initiative.
Shuttles currently operated by the Associated Students of UC Irvine were funded by student fees from years past.
This vital initiative, if passed, will add $8 to a student’s quarterly fees, but with immediate results. ASUCI plans to purchase four environmentally friendly Compressed Natural Gas shuttles to add to the existing fleet of 15 diesel shuttles.
Additionally, there are plans for capital bus improvements, improved shuttle stops, wheelchair lifts and upgraded routes. The initiative will also open up the possibility of late-night, weekend and summer routes.
With an estimated 1.5 million trips for the 2006-2007 school year

Popularity: unranked [?]
