Two UC Irvine professors, Barbara Finlayson-Pitts and Anthony James, were recently elected to the National Academy of Sciences. Both are scheduled to be officially inducted next spring.
‘I’m very excited to be elected and humbled by it. It was completely unanticipated,’ Finlayson-Pitts said.
A chemistry professor and principal investigator in the School of Physical Sciences, Finlayson-Pitts is also head of the AirUCI Institute
