GOP Iraq Strategy a Failure

According to Washington Post staff writer Rajiv Chandrasekaran, most of the available jobs during the reconstruction of Iraq have gone to those who have proven their loyalty to President George W. Bush. The evidence is detailed in Chandrasekaran’s new book, ‘Imperial Life in the Emerald City,’ which investigates workings of the American headquarters in Baghdad.
The aftermath of the Iraq invasion has attracted a large, diverse crowd of Americans looking to be a part of the nation’s rebuilding efforts. Applications routinely include questions about personal voting habits, opinions about the war on terror and even views on Roe v. Wade. The first government set up in Iraq following the invasion
