Ethnic Film at UCI Every Thursday

A film screening and a chance to meet the director for only three dollars?
Yes, from Oct. 12 to Nov. 30, at the Contemporary Asian-American Cinema Series, sponsored by the Film and Video Center at UC Irvine. The fall film series includes four films shown in HIB 100 on Thursdays at 7 p.m.
The program started in 1997, when the construction of HIB 100 allowed for the installation of a 35mm film projector.
‘It is one of the most legitimate venues in the area,’ said Kyung Hyun Kim, associate professor of East Asian language and literature and director of the Film and Video Center.
The program started out small, but through the years, greater support and funding have helped the Film and Video Center make the program
