If you’re the type of person who regularly gets to class late, be glad Los Angeles Philharmonic Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen isn’t your professor. When concert-goers are late to performances at which he conducts, Salonen folds his arms and glares disapprovingly at the guilty party. Salonen commands great respect and formality when he conducts.
