I do wish to point out however that in New Orleans, it was not a hurricane that damaged the city.  In New Orleans civil engineering (levee) failure was the cause of the damage.  

Indeed to say Katrina damaged New Orleans would be like saying traffic damaged the bridge in Minneapolis.  Both Katrina and the traffic revealed structural flaws.  Both exposed blatant civil engineering mistakes.

This is not a minor semantic point.  We ask that you please refrain from using Katrina shorthand.  The future of many depends on it.</description>
