Well over two hundred bodies scuttled around Edwards University Cinema on Thursday evening, brushing shoulders with various Vietnamese TV hosts, actors, actresses and singers. All were eager to see the cast, crew and world premiere of the martial arts and stunning cinematic epic ‘The Rebel,’ the Vietnamese film by Charlie Nguyen starring Johnny Nguyen, Dustin Nguyen and Ngo Thanh Van that opened the 2007 Vietnamese International Film Festival. ViFF will continue to showcase films from April 19 to 22 at UC Irvine, UCLA and Westminster’s Little Saigon.
ViFF is committed to showcasing cinematic works by filmmakers of Vietnamese descent. Its mission is to provide a venue to support, stimulate and expose the cinematic works of Vietnamese directors. ViFF encourages ‘Sharing Visions’
