There’s more to ‘Blades of Glory’ than a bunch of homoerotic scenes between stars Will Ferrell and John Heder. Beneath the surface of ‘Glory’ is a movie that reaches its climax as a result of, and not in spite of, preceding comedic sequences and events.
Even more pleasing,

perhaps, is the fact that ‘Glory,’ produced by Ben Stiller, is far more than a Ferrell-fest of silly skating physical comedy. The ‘Glory’ cast, which also includes Amy Poehler (‘Saturday Night Live’) and Will Arnett (‘Arrested Development’), effectively produces a variety of gags that refresh interest throughout the movie.
Poehler and Arnett play Stranz and Fairchild Van Waldenberg, a brother-and-sister figure-skating pair whose incestuous chemistry is undoubtedly helped by the pair’s offscreen marriage.
From skating in sequined baggy jeans to Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch’s ‘Good Vibrations’ to artfully skating a dramatic performance of John Kennedy with Marilyn Monroe
