Kyle Holmes is a second-year English major.

How, specifically, would you help students if you were elected?

There are two things that I really look forward to working on if I win the election next week. First thing is providing even cheaper textbooks and there are two ways of doing that. The first way of doing that is getting rid of the highly inefficient system that we have, which is the textbook exchange. We are currently spending thousands of dollars a quarter in storage costs that we really don’t need to pay, and the way that we can fix is that if we move to a completely Web-based solution put students into contact with one another throughout the year instead of six weeks a year

Seeing as how a large portion of the job as ASUCI exec is managing your staff please give us an example of how you work with someone who set a goal and help them achieve it.

I really believe in student empowerment. What’s really necessary is the person that is handling the situation; they need to be given free control
