ASUCI Elections End in High Turnout and Complaints

One week after the conclusion of a rather well-attended Associated Students of UC Irvine election, the winners of two executive positions are still unknown due to complaints made about alleged campaign misconduct.
Numerous complaints were sent to ASUCI concerning the campaigns of Mohamed Eldessouky for president and Hannah Johnson for vice president of student services. Both matters must be resolved before the official winners can be announced.
ASUCI said last Wednesday that they felt there were no grounds for disqualification for either case. However, appeals were made by those who had issued complaints
