Junior Selanee Henderson won her second tournament victory as UC Irvine women’s golf team claimed the Anteater Invitational last week. The 30-shot victory took place at the Dove Country Club on March 27.
This is UCI’s 10th title in program history after a 54-hole total of 909 as well as its third home-tournament win. Henderson was the only player to score under par in the first 36 holes and earned a medalist honor. With her last victory, Henderson became the all-time leader in wins in UCI history.
She had another tournament win at the Spartan Invitational in San Jose earlier this month where she shot six-under-210.
Freshman Henna Cho placed in 24th while freshman Mariko Makabe matched her career best and placed in 31st.
