Let’s play a game. When I say ‘1997,’ tell me the first thing that comes to mind. Did someone say ‘LeAnn Rimes’? Or how about ‘I’ll Be Missing You,’ by the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy? Frankly, I would have proudly admitted to owning ‘Ultimate Dance Party 1997.’ Yes, the CD with La Bouche Real McCoy and Ace of Base on it.
1997 was an awesome year for those of us who still remember how fun fifth and sixth grades were. A small-time band from Chicago is attempting to redefine the term 1997. Adopting the number as its name, the pop-rock band’s musical composition and lyrics make Celine Dion sound like Metallica.
