2007 Looks to Be Year of the Receiver

It should not come as a shock that the 2007 NFL season has been filled with nothing but surprises.
Brett Favre has established Green Bay as one of the NFC’s elite teams, Larry Johnson and LaDainian Tomlinson rank 30th and 33th in rushing and the Patriots are so disgustingly dominant that it would be amazing to see them fall short of a perfect 16-0 season.
Every week seems like a total anomaly, which is why the NFL is so beautiful. Each Sunday provides so many aberrational events that it’s hard to comprehend, particularly when it comes to the performance of wide receivers.
Through the first three weeks of play in 2006, there were five wide receivers to tally 140 receiving yards in a game. At the same point in the season this year, there have been 14 wideouts to do the trick.
Among those 14, three receivers amassed 200-plus receiving-yards
