Newspapers ‘Ain’t’ Ended at the L.A. Times

Business and political circles have written much about the imminent death of mainstream media outlets, especially the national newspaper. With the proliferation of instant news via the Internet and the rise of blogs, advertising and subscription revenues for most major newspapers have been in a constant freefall for the better part of the last decade.
The conventional wisdom is that the newspaper will soon go the way of the royal messenger. This view has been trumpeted with especially myopic glee by conservative pundits and bloggers, who would like nothing more than for investigative journalism of the traditional sort
