Jay Friedman, a sex educator of over 22 years performed his presentation ‘The J-Spot: A Sex Educator Tells All’ in the Engineering Lecture Hall at UC Irvine this past Tuesday, Jan. 29. The event was sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs.
According to Friedman, an interest in sex is natural because it is a thought that reoccurs for many people in their everyday lives. Friedman used the example of a person perspiring at the thought of fondling a woman’s nipple to support the idea that sex thoughts are common. Although it seemed as though Friedman was suggesting foreplay, members of the audience laughed when he revealed that he was actually referring to a mother nursing her child.
To demonstrate the importance of open and honest student discussions about sex, Friedman recalled how he learned about sex
