Francis Larson, UCI’s Next Big Bat

It doesn’t take more than one pitch to know the kind of power Francis Larson is capable of. In fact, it doesn’t even take one swing of his bat. Just one glance at him as the ball is being released from the pitcher’s hand says it all.
His feet are spread just more than shoulder length apart as he shifts his weight to his back leg. He loads his hands just past his back shoulder as the barrel of his bat dips about 30 degrees from being parallel with the ground. Then he gives a slight leg kick with his front foot
