I want to punch you, Shapan, not because I don't like you but because you couldn't be more wrong about an album I really like (especially in your ending paragraph, oh God). Your major discontent seems to be the lack of focus/fragmentation of the album. Well, I would argue that the erraticity of the album is the focus in itself. So in that sense, the album is really cohesive, moreso than a lot of albums. The fragmentation also lends longevity to the music. Successive listens reveal more and more, keeping it fresh. I think my posting this years after the release is a testament to that fact. Yes, like a great many great albums, this one is a grower and one that also frustrates. But it really is a great album that warrants a little extra attention.
