Mesa Court was the first residence hall community constructed at UCI in 1965. Ondas, pictured here, is a Unit V residence hall, the latest phase of Mesa Court halls. The Mesa Court community houses 1,834 undergraduate students in 29 residence halls; the other on-campus community, Middle Earth, was constructed in 1974 and houses 1,550 undergraduates in 24 halls. Freshmen can take advantage of a two-year university housing guarantee as well as other services from its “First Year Initiative.”
