It is promoted via internet and other media by those who wish to create a knee-jerk negative reaction to Dianetics and/or Scientology. The underlying reason is that the psych/drug industries are pocketing hundreds of billions (worldwide) via the "chemical imbalance" advertising campaign. Whereas any individual can using the Dianetics DVD set (2 disc set / 4.25 hours / $20) resolve non-medically caused depression and other unwanted conditions. IMPORTANT NOTE: Undiagnosed and/or untreated diabetes, Candida (yeast infection) and hormonal imbalances (to name a few) are REAL medical conditons that can cause many types of emotional problems.
