If the trend continues, we'll revert into another Dark Age. The only way out of the conundrum is, in my opinion, to place more stress on the importance of hard science and education. So, Wicca (pronounced Witch-uh) and Wicce (Proncounced Witch-e) can become Wiccae in some respects as a dipthong.
