I will always remember him as a great organizer, planner as well as being a very patient man. While sometimes I did not always see eye to eye with his teaching methodology I was will always appreciate his ability to work with my short comings as a TA as well as his guidance and dependability when I needed classroom assistance. He developed a Test Bank at UC Irvine for all the Spanish TAs that was passed along to the newer TAs which really helped all of us as beginning teachers. You will be missed Juergen and my heartfelt condolences to your family. Rest in Peace.... He got me to think about things in a new way, which was exciting and challenging. Now, in my first week as a high school spanish teacher I find myself thinking about him, and am very sad for his passing. My thoughts go to his family; he was a man who touched the lives of many people. I'm glad he made it back to California--a place he missed terribly while in Wisconsin. I had the honor to take a class with him at UW before he left for California. He got me to think about things in a new way, which was exciting and challenging.
