Aaron, great article. I agree with you. But just to play “devil’s advocate”…

When Peres, Rabin, and Arafat won the award in the 1990s, were there any actual results other than a nice photo op at the White House? We don’t have peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Maybe the award isn’t about results. Maybe it’s about a private committee endorsing someone’s political positions.

I think Obama will be worthy of the award if he keeps some of his basic campaign promises. But I wish we could have just waited for that, and then rewarded it.

Mr. Elias…your comments are dead on. You’re a 100% correct when you say everybody is wondering about this award. Your status as a fourth-year English major is totally acceptable as credentials, despite ‘Michael’s’ comments. Your case is well stated, well written and entertaining. I intend to share it with a number of other folks who will appreciate it fully…and FYI…they have already graduated, taken paying jobs and couldn’t agree with you more.

When a 4th year English Major Elias from /Israel/ is bubbling rubbish about Obama’s achievement, it is a kind of fox news talk. Elias and fox or rush Limbaugh vowed to take this young and visionary president down what ever he is doing. This is a typical extreme right wing Zionist idea and approach.
Elias and his likes will never be happy even the president orders to strike Iran which they are advocating for and if he does that they will have to be antagonistic for his action although they will be happy with what he does.
It is sad that we are reaching to this deception point, and if people like Elias are mushroomed all over that may be an indication for the beginning of the end for America’s power in the world stage.

You might be confused… Bill Clinton did not win a Nobel peace Prize, so hinting at it is fail.
I did not bother reading the entire article, because I felt you could probably win a Nobel peace prize or two yourself for so much rhetoric.

Passive aggressiveness is fail :
“However, despite his lack of achievements, Obama is not to blame for his own ridiculous award. ”

Chanting to your crowd of Obama hate boys is nice and all, but it makes for a poor article, I don’t care for English or grammar, but unless all you want to do is work for Fox News than continue doing what you have so far, otherwise try neutrality and a bit more logic.

I also lol’d that a 4th year English major is talking smack to the “The Norwegian Nobel Committee.” Have a good night.
