this review was written by a “gaga” fan. truth of the Matter is Lady Gaga is doing what Madonna did years ago with much less quality and artistic value. Lady Gaga is basically Madonna with more vocal range WAY WAY WAY less stage persona, much less sexier, and her dance steps are way cheaper. but then again Madonna was a DANCER therefore she has the edge in dancing and Gaga a singer has an edge in singing..but when everything gets put in the blender in order to make the Perfect popstar…GAGA fails to come close to Madonna A) because Madonna has already done it before and B) Madonna’s controversial stunts and Performances were simply done BETTER than Lady gaga. with that said Lady Gaga is much more refreshing than Britney…but she’s Nowhere near Madonna and Madonna will always be the queen of pop…no need to get a much less quality rip off to replacer her.

@Badtux Madonna is a queen she will never be replaed madonna broke records and boundaries and basically set music in motion she dared to be different michael jakson was a great musician but he did not do sexual things in his music and did not really do anything to upset anyone he was even scared of relasing thriller’s video cause of his religion but he was cool madonna is a very strong willed woman and i dont know anyone else famous that can fill her shoes does lady gaga exercise two hours a day and then rehearse 1 hour with vocalists and then another hour with her dancer’s i dont think so her shows arnt better than madonna’s but gaga has a btter vocal range but madonna is all about self expression but madonna’s song celebration is better than any song gaga has ever sung plus i am 15 and i am young but i dont feel lke madonna will be replaced and madonna should still be respected she keeps beating her own record of most earned on tour see was like $100 million away from beating the rolling stones who’s tour was 3 years long and madonna’s only 10 months in total if she went for 3 years she would never ever ever be beaten again she would have like $1.5 billion omg she should do that f you wanna reply back to me email me at colinmail_3@ymail.com

Reminds me more of Prince’s rise in the late 70’s/early 80’s ~ everyone though he was weird, but the Talent kept shining through, performance after performance after (non lip-syncing, actually-playing-an-instrument) performance…

So I’m not the only one who noticed that Stefani Germanotta appears to have taken more than a few pages out of the Madonna playbook of danceable music and outrageous image. Except I think “Lady GaGa” is more than a little tongue-in-cheek, which undoubtedly appeals to today’s cynical youngsters who grew up in a time when war is peace and Homeland Security agents demanding “your papers please” is freedom. I was around for the original so it’s not for me, but I can see why the youngsters like it — nice danceable beats and outrageous fun.

I would like to see some more research conducted on the visual sources LGG quotes. You mentioned Metropolis, which is true in at least two instances (LGG’s triangular hair on the Fame Monster album and the False Maria, also in the ‘Paparazzi’ video her metal arm and helmet look just like the robot Maria).

Madonna is the absolute Queen. The person you admire so much does not play in the same division as Madonna.

Have I to recall that Madonna has just finished a 3,5 millions tickets sold tour, the more popular ever.

Please put things into perspective and do not rush on the new fashionable artist as you change of soap.
