What the people of these countries have seen is an unmistakable path of destruction under a slogan of democracy and justice. " Once again we see someone trying to deflect the balme away from Islam. Hasan Nidal redux. (It was PTSD that drove him to it. The fact that he was a devout Muslim who communicated with an Islamist had nothing to do with it.) It's never Islam's fault when a UN facility is blown to smithereens. It's just that the simple Muslims confuse the UN with America, or Israel, or colonialsts. We hear this all the time about Islam. Sudan isn't Islam's fault it's a legacy of colonialism. When Hamas members throw Fatah members off of rooftops it's becuase of Israel. When one after another Lebanese Christian leader is assassinated it's also Israel's fault. When 4,000 Buddhists are murdered in southern Thailand it's, well, I guess it must be internationalism's fault. And when Chinese are killed in western China or Russians are killed in southern Russia who knows whose fault it is, but it's a safe guess it's not Islam's fault. The icing on the cake, of course, is that when Sunni and Shia murder each other it's never Islam's fault. In the Iran/Iraq War 1,000,000 Muslims were killed by Muslims but it wasn't Islam's fault. You see Hussein would not have come to power if not for the vacuum left by colonialists. And in Yemen today when Shia are murdered by Sunnis, well, it's also colonialists fault. On and on and on the blame game goes. Funny thing is Mohammed killed, raped, enslaved as part of his successful efforts to spreaad Islam across the Arabian Peninsula. The Koran and Hadiths are filled with Mohammed's words encouraging his followers to do the same. Why is it surprising to see violence where we find Islam what with a prophet and role model like Mohammed? Of course when we peel away the layers of lies, excuses, deceit and deflection we realize the only common theme between Buddhist deaths in Thailand, Hindu deaths in India, Christian deaths in Nigeria, Jewish deaths wherever Muslims can get them, gays being hung for being gay, women being killed for being women, UN workers being killed for getting in the way, etc... The only common link to all these acts of depravity is Islam.
