I was dead against them when they first came out claiming, like you, that nothing could replace the feel of a real book. As I heard more about them I became much more curious and open-minded about them. I have the same list of pros and cons that you listed but I have not had the pleasure of trying one out yet. I decided a few weeks ago to put aside my e-reader prejudice a few weeks ago and just have to save up the money to buy one. It's on the top of my 'must-have new gadget' list and I hope I'm as pleasantly surprised by it as you were. I have felt the exact same way about the e-reader trend.
