UCI baseball has been given the No. 3 seed in the Los Angeles regional hosted by UCLA this weekend. They will take on No. 2 seed LSU on Friday, with ace Daniel Bibona making his return from injury for the start. Kent State, the No. 4 seed, will take on UCLA in the other opening match-up.

The Anteaters will look to seek revenge on LSU for 2008, when the Tigers eliminated UCI in the super regionals in Baton Rouge. Several seniors on this year’s squad faced off with LSU two years ago, including Bibona, Christian Bergman, Eric Pettis, as well as Jeff Cusick and Francis Larson.
