UCI Seeks to Suspend Muslim Student Union
David Gao | Jun 14, 2010 | Comments 1
The Los Angeles Times reports that UC Irvine’s Muslim Student Union has been suspended by the university for at least a year, based on the group’s protest of Israeli ambassador Michael Oren’s presentation at UCI back on February 9, 2010. The MSU has appealed the recommendation, and thus the suspension has yet to be implemented.

I commend the Administration in their decision.
One need not research the topic of disgruntled Muslims very hard to understand that they start voicing their “Problems” by making small demands but this always escalates into making bigger and bigger demands, and they do this by behaving in more and more aggressive and even violent ways.
This Administration obviously understands this pattern and is taking the right steps — and courageous steps too — to try to stop this from escalating at UC/Irvine.
I wish the Adminstration good luck in their attempts towards returning the University back into a place where fundamnetal Western values are respected.
