What Not To Do: Vote Whitman

I am going to take this opportunity and try to convince you to not vote for Meg Whitman.
After speaking with many Republicans and trying to understand why Whitman is an adequate gubernatorial candidate, the most common answer I get is “She ran eBay!” I had no idea that a person who ran some sort of company was automatically equipped to run a state. Apparently, I am wrong, because a cheesy Hollywood actor seemed eligible, and, according to you voters, “fit.” Let’s not make the same mistake twice. Here are, briefly, reasons why Meg Whitman is not fit to run this state.
Let’s begin with her immigration policies. Whitman visited the state of Arizona and voiced her opposition to SB1070, deeming it unjust. However, her previous housekeeper Nicandra Diaz-Santillan has testified being underpaid, exploited and mistreated, and quotes Whitman stating “I don’t know you, and you don’t know me,” after Whitman found out Diaz-Santillan was an undocumented worker.
Let’s move on to her social policies. Whitman has stated her opposition to gay marriage, emphasizing her support for civil unions for gay couples. Such a viewpoint reminds me of those held in the 1960s. Black people could drink water – just not from the same fountains as white people – but they STILL HAD THEIR WATER! That’s absurd. I find it comical that Republicans are so concerned with “SMALLER GOVERNMENT INVOLVED IN PEOPLE’S LIVES” but find it necessary to dictate laws regarding relationships between two people desiring to get married.
Whitman also clearly emphasized her opposition to abortion, disempowering a woman’s right to choose within this country. So far, so bad, Meg. If you want the women’s vote like you have previously stated, you should consider allowing lesbians to marry if desired. Pro-choice policies resonate within the state. If you want the women’s vote, I recommend you start fighting for women.
Moving onto her plan for you. Those who are concerned with the budget cuts and are wondering what this next governor has planned for you, I’d like to take this time to share what Ms. Meg has planned: “Let’s require work for welfare and a two-year time limit on welfare benefits. Real welfare reform has worked in other states. It’s time to do it here … We’ll use some of the money we save to invest in our state colleges.” According to http://www.nomeg2010.com, an analysis explained the discrepancies within this plan.
“The state receives about $3.7 billion a year in federal welfare money if it spends a minimum of about $2.9 billion a year on programs aiding needy families with children, providing job training, discouraging out-of-wedlock births or strengthening two-parent families.
Under federal rules, spending less than the minimum would reduce federal aid over the next year by the amount of the shortfall. Federal laws also require the state to fill in that shortfall the next year.
That means the state could cut only $1 billion in welfare spending – without jeopardizing federal aid – if it used that money for other specified purposes, such as preventing out-of-wedlock births.”
As my friend Matan says, “Taking money from one failed institution and pouring it into another is not going to make the situation any better.”
Moving on to a funny statement Whitman made at a conference in central Fresno, California: “I didn’t know that California had such a large agricultural industry!” Yes Meg! California is only ranked one of the highest in agricultural production in the world! No big deal though, I’ll let that one slide. Meg Whitman has not voted in 28 years and now she wants your vote. No, this is not a fact that I am making up. Whitman has admitted to it, and is now asking for your vote! How does that make any sense? She is like the third grader in elementary school that is so anxious to share her toy during show and tell, but she is not listening or paying attention when it’s another kid’s turn. If voting is going to make Whitman governor, and achieve her beyond-eBay dreams, why didn’t she vote for 28 years?
I believe Irvine should join San Jose (Whitman’s hometown), in supporting Jerry Brown instead of her. But asking for that would be like asking Sarah Palin to say something profound for once.
There are more reasons, and I encourage you to go to http://www.nomeg2010.com. Read the analysis. It is far more serious than mine, of course.
Do yourself a favor this November, and don’t vote Meg Whitman. Let her worry about eBay, and leave the big stuff – like running a state – for the bigger kids to worry about.

Oh yea, let’s vote for jerry brown like you told us to becuase he did such an awesome job his first time as governor, right?
Francis – your “facts” are wrong. Illegal immigration did not cause the economic collapse – Bank fraud did. Bank fraud to which Republicans turned a blind eye 2001-2008. Clinton created 21 million jobs – Bush 1 million. This year more private sector jobs have been created than during 2001-2008. Look it all up.
This is all you need to know about Senator Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Gubernatorial Jerry Reid and the majority of Liberal Progressives, hiding in the Shadows of the Democrats. NOTHING MORE NEEDS TO BE SAID, OTHER THAN VOTE FOR THE TEA PARTY CANDIDATES.
* Voted YES on continuing federal funds for declared “sanctuary cities”. (Mar 2008)
* Voted YES on comprehensive immigration reform. (AMNESTY) (Jun 2007)
* Voted NO on declaring English as the official language of the US government. (Jun 2007)
* Voted NO on building a fence along the Mexican border. (Sep 2006)
* Voted YES on establishing a Guest Worker program. (May 2006)
* Voted YES on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security. (May 2006)
* Voted NO on allowing more foreign workers into the US for farm work. (Jul 1998)
* Voted YES on visas for skilled workers. (May 1998)
* Voted NO on a limit welfare for immigrants. (Jun 1997)
* Provide funding for social services for non-citizens. (May 2006)
* GOOGLE–the facts such as Illegal alien costs; illegal alien and Social Security and other keywords.
Some sober thinking if voting for Democrats is that in the first session of Congress, a Liberal Path to Citizenship or Amnesty will be instantly addressed by the Senate, and its main disciple Senator Harry Reid leading the pack. There has been no mention of costs of Amnesty to the taxpayer, from this administration or the radical progressive press, which remains silent. You need to Google–The Heritage foundation and learn of a sudden hike to come in your taxes, to pay the $2.6 Trillion dollars for all newly processed immigrant subsidies and settlement needs once legitimized. Barbara Boxer or any named incumbent has remained silent to the added abomination of giving these subsidies. This will be a new inventory of foreigners coming here that DEM’S have promised access to our Social Security. Full admission so those over the years who illegally worked here, can apply for their ill-gotten gains even after procuring or using fraudulent Social Security numbers.
Another reality is that any illegal alien can apply for Social Security, even though they never paid into the system. It’s beyond anybodies imagination that rewarding people who intentionally slipped into America, then gaining entrance to every kind of government benefit. Our country is slipping down a financial mountain of a $13 Trillion dollar debt and we want to make the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens feel at home? But then Gubernatorial Jerry Brown, Mayor Gavin Newsom, Antonio Villaraigosa have approved Sanctuary City policies and are tied to the same brush of most if not all Liberal politicians to pass AMNESTY. Sanctuary refuges have brought along with poor illegal aliens– criminals of every persuasion, from the gutters of every cesspool of the world. Sen. Reid stated there are no illegal aliens in Nevada, so he must have been sequestered in his home in Searchlight prior to the construction boom in Nevada?
Every comment I have read says that the state is overrun with illegal aliens. As for California– That place needs no explanation? There is a Liberal majority seated in Sacramento that keeps silent about the crammed schools full of the kids of foreign nationals, distressed emergency rooms and an uncomplimentary jail system full of alien criminals. But Sen. Boxer, have allowed the illegal population to propagate. Only patriotic citizens such as Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, State Senator Russell Pierce, in Colorado Gubnatorial Candidate Tom Tancredo have seen the invasion for what it has become and not remaining silent about it. Too many other politicians will not speak out –as they have been intimidated by the Liberal extremist “Political correctness”. They slink around Washington or State Capitol areas, scared of their own shadow. In additionally all citizens and taxpayers must be on guard of foreign nationals, voting in any election, to save their Liberal progressive saviors from becoming a number at unemployment agencies. Special vigilance should be attributed to the Sanctuary state of California, as illegal aliens are in perfusion and wont hesitate to use the absentee ballots return the stagnant personages of Sen. Harry Reid, Boxer and all the other Pro-amnesty providers.
Our nation is being slowly Balkanized, by a mess of foreign languages and special disbursements by the Liberal open border zealots, to give away this nation to the worst of foreign nationals. The Tea Party political candidates will smoke out all foreign aliens, using such newly advanced tools as permanent E-Verify. Big Business will be held accountable with prison sentences for hiring illegal’s, and will not bow to either the Liberal progressives or the ideologies of the wealthy GOP. Remembering the new immigrants who arrived at Ellis Island and Galveston, Texas, during the 20th Century asked nothing, but acceptance. But the last decades have brought to this country monetary nationals who are demanding we knuckle down to their rules, demanding Amnesty, schools for their numerous children, free health care and public welfare. None of the richest countries in the world can afford this unnecessary fiscal strain; nether can we?
American taxpayers have nowhere to turn right now, with the repossession of their cars, the loss of their homes, failing health Care and a previous and post governments that have failed the people. IF AMERICAN PEOPLE GIVE INTO ANOTHER AMNESTY, IT WILL BE A SIGNAL TO EVERY POOR PERSON IT’S ALRIGHT TO BREAK THE LAW. THAT THIS NATION WILL WELCOME YOU AND PROFFER GOVERNMENT BENEFITS TO ANY LAWBREAKER. We need highly very skilled legal immigrant workers in our future and mandatory temporary workers for agriculture, but no more foreigners coming to pick our pockets.
Agreed, Brown all the way!!!!
