Many people know that avoiding the sun will fight off the inevitable wrinkles, sun spots and years of aging just a little bit longer. Some of the worst days at UCI occur when the SoCal heat wave kicks in. We students are expected to carry on through the day and pay attention in class as if 90-degree weather is normal for us. And it doesn’t help that the freshmen dorms aren’t air-conditioned. The slopes and hills of Ring Road also don’t give us any advantages of avoiding sweating on our way to class.
