Krom, Chemerinsky Speak at Crystal Cove Auditorium

48th District Democratic candidate Beth Krom will make an appearance at the Crystal Cove Auditorium at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19.
She will be joined by Jim Dean, chair of Democracy for America and UCI Law School Dean Erwin Chemerinsky. The event will look to brief students on Krom’s views of supporting higher education.

UCI Seeks to Suspend Muslim Student Union

The Los Angeles Times reports that UC Irvine’s Muslim Student Union has been suspended by the university for at least a year, based on the group’s protest of Israeli ambassador Michael Oren’s presentation at UCI back on February 9, 2010. The MSU has appealed the recommendation, and thus the suspension has yet to be implemented.
