THE ORACLE: This may be the year both the men's and women's soccer teams break out. There, I said it. This season should be when Scott Juniper's women's squad takes it to the next level, and George Kuntz's squad bounces back.

THE HYPOTHESIS: Ladies and gentlemen, our Saturdays have officially become better. Saturdays play host to college football throughout the country and we get to watch players and students put everything on the line in the name of their school colors.

THE HYPOTHESIS: Every Dodger fan at UC Irvine owes famed sports agent and Anteater baseball fan Scott Boras a handshake at Anteater Ball Park next season. Why? The best dreads in sports are swinging under an L.A. Dodger hat now and Boras was the orchestrator of the blockbuster deal.

MEN'S GOLF: Anteaters Tim Cha and John Chin Qualify for U.S. Amateur Championship.

Water Polo: Four former Anteaters make the Olympic squad and look for Gold begining August 10.

THE ORACLE: Complaining that the Anteaters do not have a legitimate star athlete in the professional ranks? Your complaints may be availed come next major league baseball season.

THE HYPOTHESIS: One of the best movie lines ever is by Doug E. Doug, who played Sanka Coffie in the 1993 sports film classic "Cool Runnings." I know it's a movie about the Winter Olympics, but stay with me. Sanka, the comic relief on the Jamaican bob-sled team, walks through the snow and into a circle of athletes looking miserable from the cold and with a huge grin says the line, "I am feeling very Olympic today."
