By the age of ten, I ran away with the Boxcar children, fought alien species with the Animorphs, traveled through a wardrobe to Narnia and attended Hogwarts with Harry, Ron and Hermione. I was an orphan, a superhero, an adventurer and a witch.

College campuses are filled with hungry students craving delicious, affordable food. Luckily, UCI Hospitality and Dining Services are more than ready to meet that need. While most students were away during the summer, several important dining changes took place on campus. The most obvious is the addition of Panda Express, Jamba Juice and Wahoo’s Fish Taco in the Student Center. Wahoo’s is still under construction with a grand opening on Oct. 12.

In the heart of Anaheim, next door to Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland, the inaugural D23 Expo opened its doors to adoring Disney fans. Early this month, this four-day spectacular featured exclusive presentations from Disney visionaries, sneak peeks at unreleased movies and ABC television shows, first glimpses of changes coming to Disney parks around the world, and so much more.

We all want to prepare our meals faster, purchase our ingredients at cheaper prices, and make our meals healthier. And by “all,” I mean the uncommon college student who takes the time to cook his or her own healthy meals. But in the collegiate culinary world, the diet of the average college student consists of Top Ramen, Diet Coke and fast food.

With a 4% acceptance rate in its first year, UCI Law has been the most selective law school in the country. Of the 2,741 applicants for the inaugural class, only 110 students were accepted. High-caliber students and selectivity demonstrate that UCI Law school is well on its way to achieve its goal.
