UCI Main Library Renamed After Entrepreneur
UCI’s Main Library will be renamed the Jack Langson after a Newport Beach entrepreneur at a dedication ceremony on Oct. 16.
Langson, a longtime Orange County resident, is president and owner of Investment Building Group, a commercial real estate development group. He created the Langson Library Fund and the Langson Library Endowed Fund; both enable UCI to make building renovations and update technology.
Langson received his bachelor’s degree at USC in business, followed with a master’s degree in business from Harvard University.

Data Librarian Receives Fulbright Scholarship Grant
Daniel Tsang, social sciences data librarian, has been awarded a William J. Fulbright scholarship grant to study for four months at the Institute of Sociology, National Center for Social Sciences and Humanities in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Tsang is one of more than 800 faculty members and professionals in the United States to travel abroad this year through the Fulbright Scholar Program.
Tsang was evaluated according to his professional attributes and academic achievements along with his leadership potential.
