UCI Names New Executive Director of Cancer Programs
Cheryl Bartholomy was recently named the executive director of development of cancer programs at UCI.
Working with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, she led a $60 million campaign toward the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center. She also launched and directed the Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative and served as vice president of development for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
She will be raising funds for the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at the UCI Medical Center, the Biomedical Research Center campaign and the College of Medicine.

Ingram Micro CFO to Leave Position and Teach at UCI
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ingram Micro Inc., Thomas A. Madden, will retire from the firm on April 1, 2005 to teach at UCI’s Graduate School of Management.
He is a member of the board of directors for Mindspeed Technologies, has served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Arvin Meritor, Inc. and worked as a CPA at Coopers and Lybrand.
Madden has been with Ingram Micro Inc., the world’s largest technology distributor, since July 2001. Ingram Micro’s headquarters are located in Santa Ana, Calif.
