NFL Season Preview and Predictions

Last year’s National Football League season was full of surprises. 8-8 records were good enough for both wildcard spots in the NFC. The San Diego Chargers and Pittsburg Steelers came out of nowhere to claim their respective divisions, riding the arms of two very surprising quarterbacks.
While there were unpredictable results throughout the season, the championship game featured the two preseason favorites, the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles, both models of consistency over the last few years.
Who will step up to challenge the Patriots this year? Here are my predictions of how each division will play out with teams listed in order of finish.

AFC East:
New England Patriots
New York Jets
Buffalo Bills
Miami Dolphins
Quarterback Tom Brady and the Pats will prevail again despite their notable off-season losses, but they won’t be as strong. The division title could very likely come down to their Week 16 Monday night game with the Jets. Buffalo will finish around .500, but they and Miami have too many question marks on offense.

AFC North:
Baltimore Ravens
Pittsburgh Steelers
Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland Browns
Forget Week 1 results here. Baltimore’s defense is as stacked as ever, and if their offense can simply play within themselves we could have a repeat of 2000
